Sheer Drapery

Sheers – Ideal for privacy during the day to keep a room light whilst still allowing you to see out during the day, often partnered with drapery to give full privacy at night. We have hundreds of sheer fabrics to choose from usually mounted on decorative channel rod hardware (or on Somfy Glydea motorized drapery tracks) to complete the look and allow full movement across any sized window or patio door without interference from brackets. Usually sewn in the triple pinch pleat drapery style, Sheers give the soft elegances of drapery while allowing privacy and light in during the day. The Sheer fabrics can also be used for several drapery valance treatments, the most popular of which is Swags and Jabots on a decorative pole which gives the soft look of a drapery valance which still allows light to pass thorough with darkening the room like a regular drapery fabric.

Rod pocket top and bottom (French curtain)- Is an application usually done with gathered sheer fabric for use on side lights and for privacy on doors with glass panes (French doors). Typically this application features a 1” ruffle top and bottom to conceal any space between window casements and the rods used. This includes the option to have a tie in the middle of the rod pocket top and bottom which changes the shape and is known as an hour glass sheer.

Sheer Overlays – Which have been our signature product for over 25 years, combining the functionality of a PVC vertical with the elegance of your choice in sheer fabric.  With hundreds of sheers to choose from and usually featuring a single or double laser valance to complete the look – sheer overlays offer more than just sheers or just vertical blinds. Popular for use on patio doors as well as any large windows including bedroom windows. With the clever use of Velcro to attach the sheer to the vertical vanes, Sheer overlays are easier to clean than regular pinch pleated sheers as you can simply peel the sheer off the Velcro on the vanes and then wash (gentle cycle- cold wash) in a garment bag and rehang while damp to avoid any wrinkles.

Sunbursts -Which are the sheer drapery option for arch windows where any of our sheer fabrics, sewn to the shape of the window then attached with Velcro on the edges and gathered into the middle onto a special spike which is then covered with a fabric rosette to complete the look. Sunbursts can be done on almost any shaped arch including bullet shaped arches (arch with long sides), regular arch (half moon shape) and quarter arches.
