Sheer Horizontal Shades

Versatile and beautiful, our sheer horizontal shades combine the style and advantages of blinds and shades in one great design! We carry two distinct styles of sheer horizontal shades.

Illusions and Shangri-La Shades – Are Sheer Horizontal shades that have fabric vanes attached between two layers of sheer and has light control options similar to a venetian style blind. These are available with 2”, 2.5” and 3” vanes in a variety of colours with both light filtering and room darkening options.

Interludes – Are a stripe shade style often referred to as zebra shades. These operate similar to a roller shade with a continuous sheer fabric which has privacy or room darkening stripes overlaid on it, the fabric rolls through the bottom bar and is attached at the back of the valance. This gives the affect of the stripes moving past each other as the blind is raised and lowered.

Both styles feature breathtaking sheer views, privacy and light control. When in the open position the suns glare is gently diffused and when in the closed position the shade provides complete privacy. When you raise the shade, it disappears into the colour coordinated contoured headrail. We have a wide variety of colours and fabric options; including light filtering and room darkening to meet all your decorating needs.

Available as single shade up to 100” wide or as multiple shades in the same valance allowing independent operation for each section which is perfect for large picture windows when you want to open the crank window but limit sunlight coming through the middle section of the window as well as for use on patio doors.

Our Sheer Horizontal shades feature many choices for operation:

Steel chain (perfect for tall or hard to reach windows) which come with a Health Canada approved chain guard. Available on Illusions and Interlude only.

Zero Gravity chainless system is the gold standard of chainless roller shades -it operates smoothly and can be raised with the lightest touch and stops instantly when you let go of the hem bar.  Available on Interlude only.

Cordless with handle and pull adjustment system. Shangri-la only.

Motorization is available for roller shades from 21” to 100” wide; we do more motorization in Windsor and Essex County than our competitors and carry a full range of options for all needs. Our sheer horizontal shades are motorized with several options including:

Simplicity motors – Have a radio frequency remote and power touch options, both of which feature rechargeable lithium batteries and are available on Shangri-la only.

SG Motors or Somfy motors, both are radio frequency motors and the most popular are wire free with built in rechargeable lithium batteries. Both motorization options can be connected to optional smart hubs (Somfy TaHoma or SG Connector) which connect to your wifi and allow you to control the roller shades and set timed operation of them from your smart phone. Available on Interlude and Illusions only.
